I was just introduced to Twitter a couple of weeks ago, and I’m amazed at how big of a deal it’s become! Such a simple idea…interesting to learn more about it. Thanks!

I have a twitter account for a year now but I didn’t really understand Twitter’s functions until now. I’m so glad to have found this video. I can’t believe Obama Twitter? I think it is great that Twitter users can send information lightning fast. I like to be more well grounded with the world and now I know how.

I am starting to come around to the idea of Twitter. I have been curious about it for a while but for some reason culd not wrap my head around it. I read an article int he newspaper last week and also came across this both helped me to catch on to the idea. I took a look at their website for the fifth time and I am starting to get a true interest in it.

I knew nothing about twitter really, so this video was really informative. A lot of bands I like are now using twitter, it is definetely the up and coming social networking site.

I have not had the opportunity to use twitter, and after seeing this video will make sure I do before the weekend is over. I find this to be absolutely amazing that such a concept has grown out of twitter. Congratulations to all and to the twitters who can pass information to a large number of people in a short time!

I don’t know anything about the twitter. This video has given me a lot of information about the twitter. It is a simple idea but very powerful. The information can be sent in a lightning fast.

This is the first time I have heard about Twitter. I think I should go check it out.

Its been a year and I still love twitter..I’m a regular twitter member.When it was launched it was one of its kind and now there are many programs but twitter is the king of all…and nice to see some more info coming from your postings.Thanks for sharing

This is a very informative video – I hadn’t known anything about Twitter till now. I can see where Twitter is useful in emergencies (I read about a while back about a guy who was arrested, I think in Egypt, and no one would have known anything if he hadn’t managed to post a Twitter with his cell phone, which resulted in both him and his interpreter, who was also arrested, being freed) or to keep friends and family updated while I’m travelling, but I guess I wouldn’t bother with it much otherwise. My cell phone could get internet; I chose to block that feature as my computer’s perfectly adequate, but even if I could netsurf from my phone I’m not sure I’d get a Twitter account myself.

I have been wondering about this for a while because I heard of twitter over a year ago and then all of the sudden it was everywhere. The point where I said, wow, Twitter is everywhere, is when politicians were twittering during Obama’s first speech.

It is always interesting learning how websites became overnight successes, this video reminds me of Download: the true story of the internet.

I didn’t understand twitter at first. My girlfriend recently got it and is obbessed haha! I still don’t really get the point isn’t it just like a facebook status update? Maybe at some point I’ll eventually be pulled in and start to “tweet”

This is interesting how those guys first developed this as a sideline idea, and it took over everything else they were doing. It’s also cool how users helped in its evolution by the way they used it and shaped it.

I have Twitter account from the past couple of months.But i didn’t make a use of it.Honestly i don’t know about the functions of twitter before i started watching this video.But now after i watched this video i come to know all the functions about twitter…..

Thanks for the interesting video on twitter and how it upstarted. It’s funny how on the radio we’re starting to hear things like, Jennifer Aniston broke up with her boyfriend because of Twitter. He was tweeting too much.

Nice video! I haven’t seen anything else that explains Twitter so quickly and so well.

Twitter was first exposed to me through a message board that I am actively part of. Although I am not a huge fan of it, it definitely has brought more people together and made people also have more ways to interact because of the internet.

I think a reason why Twitter does so well is the celebrities on it. It becomes a tool for them to ‘reach out to the fans’. Friends don’t seem to communicate with eachother on it, as they do on facebook for example.
I think if it wasn’t for celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Pete Wentz, Fred Durst, etc twittering all day long Twitter wouldn’t have the wide appeal it does.

This was a very good and informative video. I have been using Twitter for a while for personal use, but have only recently discovered the value in Twitter as a marketing and business tool. I think that as more and more people discover Twitter, it will have the potential to continue to get bigger and better. I really would not be surprised to see it surpass Myspace or Facebook in the years to come, honestly. At least see it come neck and neck with them.

twitter is becoming so popular that’s way today we heard many rumors about buying twitter by world no. 1 search engine “GOOGLE”.

i just made a twitter account after hearing about it on Today, The Weather Channel, and various news cast. i’m still in the works of trying to figure it all out, but i like the site, an di think it will become the next myspace

I think that is very useful to get followers as well as we can follow so we can build huge friends so after that we can post some links on the site, Anyone can click and see that, we can easily get paid from that site.

great ted video, was cool to see the whole background behind twitter. unfortunately i don\’t see twitter as a service being around for that long; as evidence, i read somewhere that 60% of twitter users drop it after a month…

I’m really actually disapointed with Twitter. It is a good idea that works, but it is just another nail in the coffin to actually speaking with people. We already text enough, and I really don’t need to know what my friend is doing “right now”. I’ve noticed buisness using Twitter to release info about products before they are released which is cool, but overall I don’t like it. This is a great video though.

@John – I’d recommend you just open an account, and start posting. They don’t allow you to do too much in the way of customization, so it’s perfect for people who don’t have a lot of technical skill
