Great post. I have noticed the very same thing, smart people don’t sometimes even find the opportunity to get rich desirable!

No, I don’t think so because to become rich is similar to be success. To become successful one must always keep three things in mind that are thoughts, words and action.

I think that people deep down all know what they want, but many actually FEAR change. They fear what their dreams may do to their ‘comfortable’ lifestyles. As Edison had many tests in failing before success… I think that it’s fear that holds people back.

I very much agree with this. Smart and educated are two completely different things. Starting a business is also based more on drive and motivation. I also find that the ability to network plays a large role into one’s success. Sometimes the necessity to find alternative options to the “typical” career path breeds creativity.

I feel pursue without fail. ibs simple to feel pursue. I hope everybody fel it.

Why people get richer is not because, they are more smarter than others,
smart people are not protected from getting into difficult financial situation, and their higher level of intelligence will look forward to increase the financial status.

This blog totally defines me. I always made a plan but i can’t stick to it for more than 2 or 3 days. When i am moving on streets i always used to think like what is the difference between a man who is driving an Audi and who is selling newspapers? There has to be something that make persons what they are. After a lot of thinking and talking with the peoples i figured out its the mentality. A successful person is always clear in what he has to do and he work hard to achieve it. A looser makes compromises. Its just the way of human think that make a person successful and the other unsuccessful.

I agree with this article completely in full sense. In order to be rich, you need to be determined as highlighted in case of the above mentioned personalities. The goal should be clear though the path to reach there may be difficult. We just have to make up our mind to reach our goal.

Very nice article – however it would depend on your definition of “smart”. For me the above people were all smart. Knowing what you want and pursuing your goals without fail are to me the exact definition of a smart person. Now smart does not necessarily mean educated and in that case I agree that a lot of wealthy people are not actually highly educated.

I totally agree with this article. You do have to know what you want and you have to be the kind of person who won’t give up, when the going gets tough. There are highs and lows in every business but a truly successful person is successful, if he looks at the problem, studies it and figures out how to fix it or decided that he must take a different route to make his idea work.

I also thinks that a positive “I WILL succed” attitude is essential. With that kind of thinking, you can’t fail. You may have drawbacks, but you won’t fail.

I find this article to hold a lot of truth. A lot of successful, rich people do not consider themselves to be smarter than others. A lot of people do not give a deep thought to what they want and a lot of people discourage easily at the first sign of failure. This blog has recollected my enthusiasm to achieve what i want in my life. To play the devil’s advocate a little bit, I often wonder if perhaps people are predisposed to being successful in business (such as creating a goal/plan and continuing despite adversity). No, I don’t think all the rich people are smart. If anyone’s time is good then automatically he will become rich. We don’t want any shortcut to become rich.

I think it all depends on what type of smarts one has. Book smarts can only get someone so far. It takes good street smarts and common sense to survive in business. All the college in the world won’t mean a thing if you don’t know how to interact with people. My parents never went to college, but they own their own business and are making tons of money.

This is very much true as far as i am concerned. Yes you have to be smart enough to identify oppurtunities for making money. In my opinion, you do not have to be smart in order to get or be rich. Many people that are wealthy today because they have had to work extremely hard to get to where they have gotten, or they just happened to have had a REALLY good idea and put it into motion. Simon Cowell for instance….a smart man? In a way, but not YALE smart. He was one that had a great idea and pursued it.

I’ve heard this so many times, but it something that bears repeating. Its easy to get into the trap of “If only I had…” or could, or whatever. The main thing to do if you want success in something is to put your eyes on the goal and start walking.

No, gaining wealth does not require one to be smart. What it does require a degree of savviness and the opportunity to see a gap in the market and the way to use it to your advantage in the short term and/or the long term. The gap need not be large, but your way of thinking should be expansive!

The answer is a big NO because in my life i have met many smart people who are very poor and some stupid guys who are very rich.

Although you do not have to be smart to be rich, you would have to be smart to STAY rich. Very often people who are lucky enough to get money, waste it all with their bad decisions. NO, the universal truth is that hard work definitely pays a man enough to become rich. But “time” is the most important factor. No one can get richer in one day or in 24 hours. One must have a dream and work towards achieving his/her goal to accomplish.
